Social: Last Name Brewing was founded by Curt Dale in 2003 as Dale Brothers Brewing, a small brewery born out of a passion for homebrewing and a talent for winning medals at the LA County Fair. Joined in 2007 by his brother Andy Dale and sister-in-law Karen McMillan, the brewery began expanding as it won awards and gained fans. In 2012, the brewery moved into its current facility and added a large taproom, beer garden, fermentation lab, and a variety of new and experimental beers to the lineup. In 2016, the brothers discovered they could not trademark the name Dale Brothers, and so renamed it Last Name Brewing as a nod to its roots.
